Your PDF workspace, explained.

Start with a file

Open PDFVault from Chrome and choose a tool. Drop PDFs or select files from your device. Files remain in memory while this workspace is open. Keep the tab or side panel open until processing finishes. Closing or reloading clears the imported files.

Merge

Add two or more PDFs. Drag file rows or use the up/down arrows to set their order. Select Merge & download. All pages are combined in that order.

Split

Choose one PDF. Use page ranges such as 1-3; 4-6 to create two files, or 1, 3-5 for one file with selected pages. Semicolons separate output files. Alternatively choose Every N pages. Multiple results download as a ZIP.

Compress

Basic rewrites object streams while retaining page content. Pro image compression is for scans or other files where image-only pages are acceptable. Confirm the loss of text selection, links, forms and vector detail. Choose Clear (up to 144 dpi), Balanced (108 dpi), or Small (72 dpi); large page dimensions are capped to manage memory. Actual size is shown after processing. No reduction is guaranteed.

Rotate and pages

Rotate all pages or a range clockwise by 90, 180 or 270 degrees. In Pages, use the preview arrows to reorder or remove pages. At least one page must remain. Load more previews as needed.

Watermark and batch — Pro

Add your own text or a PNG/JPEG watermark. Adjust page range, opacity, angle and position. The bundled text font supports Latin, Greek and Cyrillic; unsupported characters are rejected. Images must be no more than 5 MB and 16 megapixels. Batch supports rotate, compress or watermark, applies the same settings to each PDF, and downloads a ZIP. Add folder scans the selected folder for PDFs only. Files that cannot be read are rejected with an explanation.

Limits and troubleshooting

Both plans support up to 100 MB of input, 50 files and 500 total pages per job. Image compression supports up to 50 total pages. Limits apply to the whole job, including batch jobs. Browser memory and complex documents can impose lower practical limits.

Encrypted files must be exported unlocked using a trusted PDF application first. Damaged or unusual PDFs may not be supported. Editing invalidates signatures; extraction can lose interactive document features. Always check results and retain originals. Cancelling or a failed job does not use a Free job.
